Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Palmetto Retina Center, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our busy ophthalmology clinic.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one year of experience in ophthalmology. Certification as a JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant is also desirable. If you possess a positive attitude, energy, and empathy for patients, we want to hear from you

As an Ophthalmic Technician with us, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. Key Responsibilities:
  • Promptly and professionally assist doctors during patient care.
  • Perform technical workups, patient interviews, and special testing.
  • Communicate with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, procedures, changes in schedule, symptoms, etc.
  • Understand and use proper sterile technique.
  • Maintain and clean all equipment being used, reporting to supervisor if not in working condition.
