We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at KIK Consumer Products. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment on our 2nd shift production line.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections, monitoring, and testing of machinery and equipment
- Dismantle malfunctioning machines and equipment, replacing or installing new parts as needed
- Perform thorough cleaning and lubrication of shafts, bearings, gears, and various machinery components
- Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, ensuring the repair or replacement of gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related components
- Acquire a profound understanding of all machinery utilized in the production process to ensure optimal functionality through proper operating procedures
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, fostering good housekeeping practices in all relevant work areas
- Execute line changeovers for different products, including the setup of the dilution system to precise specifications
- Promptly notify the Production Manager and Plant Manager of any equipment issues, demonstrating an analytical approach to problem-solving and providing assistance to others as necessary
Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in machinery inspection, repair, and assembly
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to perform line changeovers and address equipment issues promptly
- Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time
- Able to work in an environment with bleach fumes and handle chemicals
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Comfortable working in a high-speed manufacturing environment
