Job Overview:
This role entails the assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of physical injuries, illnesses, and disabilities through established physical therapy techniques and methods. The Physical Therapist is responsible for educating and guiding patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts and documents initial and ongoing evaluations of the patient's health status.
  • Creates comprehensive treatment plans that outline therapeutic objectives and expected outcomes. These plans may incorporate exercise routines both in the clinic and at home to enhance flexibility, strength, and endurance. Various modalities may be employed to alleviate pain and minimize swelling.
  • Advises on the appropriate selection and use of assistive devices and support programs aimed at restoring physical function, enhancing mobility, alleviating discomfort, and preventing long-term disability.
  • Assesses the patient's capacity for independence and reintegration into the workplace or community following an injury or health setback.
  • Upholds the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Healthcare while adhering to service behavior standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical environment.
Preferred:
  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications is essential.

A collaborative team player capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Physical Demands:
Includes activities such as carrying, climbing, crawling, listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position will be determined based on experience.
