Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Genesis HealthCare Services. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our patients and residents by planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that meet their physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement monthly recreation therapy services that cater to the diverse needs of our patients and residents
  • Document patient/resident attendance and participation levels at recreation programs
  • Attend care plan meetings as needed to ensure seamless collaboration with the care team
  • Provide input into the design of recreation therapy services to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our patients and residents
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to positively engage with patients, residents, family members, visitors, and staff
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language
