About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Resources for Human Development. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health histories to live independently in community-based settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and support to individuals in accordance with their person-centered ISP, promoting healthy and socially acceptable behaviors.
  • Implement residentially based interventions and assist clients in achieving their clinical assignments.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Administer medication, provide transportation, and support clients with activities of daily living, meal prep, toileting, and hygiene.
  • Assist in community integration activities and access to community supports, including medical appointments and social security access.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails and time recording.
  • Prior experience in the human services field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance if applicable.
