About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Resources for Human Development. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral health histories in our community-based sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and support to individuals in accordance with their person-centered ISP, helping them achieve their outcomes and goals.
  • Administer medication and provide transportation to consumers as needed.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, meal preparation, toileting, and hygiene.
  • Support consumers in community integration activities and access to community supports, including medical appointments and social security access.
  • Complete required documentation and perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails and time recording.
  • Prior experience in the human services field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance if applicable.
