Experience in stencil design using Gerbers, CAD, and other design tools.

Knowledge of rework processes, including hot air, BGA repair, wash/PCA cleaning, and routine soldering rework.

Understanding of label creation programming and barcode systems.

Holds Class 1 3 IPC and J-STD training certifications.

Technology Development:
Assists the Engineering & Technology Leader in researching industry trends and establishing a technology roadmap to maintain a competitive edge in the market with advanced equipment and capabilities.

Expected Outcomes:
Continuous assessment and reporting of internal capabilities versus market demands to support the organization's ability to meet current and future customer needs.

Identifies and mitigates the impact of disruptive technologies on the business.

Sales & Customer Support:
Collaborates with the Engineering & Technology Leader and the VP of Business Development during the sales prospecting process, providing technical support and engaging with customer engineering teams.

Contributes significantly to the quoting process by providing technology fit, technical assessments, and DFM inputs for accurate quotations.

Works with program management to address existing customer needs and explore new sales opportunities, considering internal capabilities against evolving customer design requirements.

New Product Introduction:
Provides direct support to the Documentation Control team.

Supports a structured NPI process and assists the Engineering & Technology Leader in guiding the dedicated NPI engineering team to achieve a competitive advantage.

Deliverables Include:
DFM/DFT programs to support a robust quotation process, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost management.

Development of manufacturing processes during the pre-production phase.

Quick turnaround production of new products.

Robust component management programs.

Compliance with regulatory requirements and declarations (Conflict Minerals, RoHS, REACH).

Management of component obsolescence and product lifecycle.

Operations Support:
Assists the Engineering & Technology Leader in selecting new equipment.

Supports Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams with validation planning and execution as necessary.

Provides technical support to Manufacturing Engineering (Process and Test organizations) to resolve complex manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 10 years in electronic manufacturing services, with at least 5 years focused on new product introductions.

Experience in SMT Manufacturing or EMS is essential.

Extensive knowledge of all PCBA processes, high-level assemblies, and box builds.

Client-facing experience is required, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with customers and suppliers.

Lean/Six Sigma experience is required; Black Belt certification is preferred.

Proven ability to lead change and manage with integrity, including coaching, mentoring, and developing staff.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.

Experience with PCB design and CAD tools such as Valor, Cadence, Cam 350, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.

Ability to lead and manage projects effectively.

Understanding of business finance is required.

Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or medical devices is advantageous.

Education and Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

At least 5 years of relevant on-the-job experience in a similar industry.

Demonstrated positive customer service demeanor.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong technical background with an understanding of circuit card and box build assemblies.

Language Skills:
Proficient in reading and speaking English.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Capable of writing simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:
Proficient in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.

Capable of addressing problems involving simple variables in standardized situations.
