Registered Nurse RN Operating Room
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area. As a perioperative nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards
- Assume responsibility for preparation of surgical suite, including OR schedule verification, area safety and regulatory compliance, instrument and equipment setup, medical chart accuracy, and readiness of medicines and supplies
- Prepare patients for surgery, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, surgical site verification, and patient positioning and draping
- Circulate or scrub for surgical procedures, serving as first assistant as needed, operating essential equipment during procedure, and ensuring proper function
- Monitor patient vital signs and comfort level throughout procedure and promptly alert surgical team of any change in status or potential harm
- Work Schedule: Friday to Sunday, 7pm-7am
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse licensure and 1 year applicable experience
- Bachelors Degree or Associate Degree

The estimated salary for this position is $93,512 per year, based on national averages and industry standards.
