Acute Inpatient Nursing Opportunity with Corpus Christi Medical Center

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team at Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area. This is a PRN opportunity for a Registered Nurse RN Acute Inpatient who wants to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in line with the department's requirements and state standards.
About Our Hospital
Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area is a 630+ bed healthcare system of hospitals in Corpus Christi and the surrounding Coastal Bend community. Our hospital offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular services, bariatric, GYN, and robotic surgery. We also have a NICU Unit and a graduate medical education program.
Your Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care by assessing patients' conditions, performing procedures, and providing thorough documentation. You will also educate patients and families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures. Additionally, you will act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying our organization's vision, mission, and values.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patients' medical records.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to medication.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patients' requests, proactively anticipating patients' needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about patients' medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements
- 12 months Acute Inpatient experience required.
- Registered Nurse certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.

Estimated Salary
$62,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
