Key Responsibilities

• Collect and process blood samples from patients, following established protocols and procedures.
• Label and store specimens according to established procedures, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to specimen collection and processing.
• Train and mentor new staff members on specimen collection and processing procedures.
• Recommend workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Attend annual department trainings and participate in ongoing education and professional development.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries related to laboratory results.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 2-4 years' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
