Job Summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team. This is a full-time contract position with potential for contract-to-hire conversion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process medical specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform venipunctures and other specimen collection procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Label, centrifuge, and store specimens according to laboratory requirements.
  • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Package specimens for transport, adhering to temperature and handling regulations.
  • Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Participate in annual department trainings and stay up-to-date on laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries regarding laboratory results.
Requirements
  • Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment (as required).
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
