Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at Baton Rouge Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of physical labor tasks, including cutting grass, cleaning culverts, and moving materials. This is a full-time position that requires close supervision from a Laborer Foreman or other employee of higher grade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cuts grass, weeds, trees, and brush
  • Cleans culverts, drains, and ditches
  • Moves, loads, and unloads materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Removes obstructions from highway or premises
  • Hauls or carries sand, lumber, asphalt, and cement
  • Applies patching materials to highway surfaces
  • Pours dirt, sand, and water into a mud jack and fills
Requirements

No experience or training is required for this position. However, the successful candidate must be able to perform physical labor tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
