Job Description

Laborer

The Laborer is a key member of our team, responsible for assisting with installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of various infrastructure components, including underground raceways, foundations, and control house slabs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with field installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of foundations, buildings, and underground raceways.
  • Perform work within established time frames and ensure quality work standards are met.
  • Maintain and properly store tools and equipment.
  • Properly use and safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Accurately organize materials and tools to maintain clean and neat work areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work 10 hours per day, night shift, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required.
  • Clearly understand and comply with Company/Job Safety Requirements (OSHA).
  • Ability to add, subtract, divide, and use formulas accurately.
  • Work in restrictive/tight areas.
  • Must be capable of digging trenches.
  • Able to visualize completed work prior to installation.
  • Must have ability and knowledge to properly give hand signals to operators.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.

Travel Requirements

As required by job assignment.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to utilize provided construction site sanitary facilities.
  • Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
  • Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects of 50 pounds.
