The Administrative Supervisor - Clinical Operations is a key member of the Bayfront Health team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our acute care hospital setting. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities- Serves as a clinical resource agent to nursing units and allied health departments, providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues.
- Ensures safe and timely patient flow throughout the facility, coordinating intrasystem transfers and participating in clinical observation and assessment for patients as needed.
- Provides oversight of staffing resources, working closely with department leadership and the corporate staffing office to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Serves as a first responder for all emergency code events and house alerts, completing documentation per shift for patient census, events, and flow outcomes.
- Supports the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accrediting agencies.
- Responds to and resolves team member, patient, family member, and provider concerns, providing follow-up and support as needed.
- Provides coaching, mentoring, and education to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Assists with human resource-related functions, including interviewing, onboarding, evaluating personnel, and issuing corrective actions.
- Serves as the central intake for patient matters concerning the American Disability Act, language, and cultural issues, facilitating assistance as needed within the facility.
- Manages crisis situations, providing support and coordination with the Administrator-on-Call (AOC) and other stakeholders.
- Maintains compliance with all Bayfront Health policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current professional license as a registered nurse in the State of Florida.
- National Certification in specialty area within 2 years.
- Maintains current BLS; as determined by specialty area ACLS, PALS, NALS, or TNCC is required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse in the acute care setting.
