We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain patient safety through one-on-one observation and provide support with nursing care tasks.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with nursing care of patients, including maintaining patient safety and providing support with nursing tasks.
A. Assist with the plan of care for each patient.
B. Assist with the maintenance of quality care.
C. Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of the unit as a whole as well as individual patient rooms.
D. Is able to demonstrate competency in age-specific criteria as applicable to job scope.
2. Assist in maintaining supply inventory.
A. Inspect storage areas for adequate supplies and report deficiencies.
B. Pick up, deliver, and store supplies in the appropriate place.
3. Participate in educational programs.
A. Attend in-service programs as provided.
B. Attend unit meetings.
4. Maintain satisfactory communications.
A. Demonstrate clear and accurate lines of communication.
B. Demonstrate listening and understanding with verbal and non-verbal responses.
C. Demonstrate accuracy in verbal communication.
D. Maintain confidentiality of patient and Hospital.
E. Extend courtesy and consideration for others in interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships.
F. Offer assistance and/or instructions to patients, physicians, families, and co-workers in a courteous and attentive manner.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma, GED, or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is required.
2. Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Louisiana is required.
3. Ability to demonstrate competency in age-specific criteria as applicable to job scope.
4. Ability to maintain satisfactory communications and confidentiality of patient and Hospital.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity while providing excellent patient care. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
North Oaks Health System's Compliance Program:

Physical Demands:
