Laundry Attendant

Candlewood Suites-Olathe is seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of hotel linens and towels in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Laundry Operations: Receive soiled linens by the bag or cart from the floors, sort articles by kind, color, and degree of soil, and inspect all laundry and linens for damage or stains.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and manufacturers' guidelines, and ensure necessary chemicals are added in the correct quantities prior to wash cycles.
- Linens Management: Fold and store clean linens as appropriate, and assist in daily linen count for monthly inventories.
- Quality Control: Inform supervisor of malfunctioning equipment and respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner.
- Professional Image: Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and dress, and follow company policies and procedures.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect laundry and linens for damage or stains.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to respond to guest requests in a friendly manner.
- Knowledge of Laundry Techniques: Knowledge of standard and circumstantial laundering techniques.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
