About This Role

As an Optical Laboratory Specialist (68H), you will play a crucial role in ensuring Soldiers receive high-quality eyewear. Your knowledge of optics and ocular health will be essential in sorting and forwarding prescriptions, preparing and making prescription lenses, inspecting them for accuracy, assembling frames, and performing repairs and maintenance on optical tools and machines.

This is an entry-level position, perfect for those who are eager to learn and grow with the U.S. Army. No prior experience is necessary, but you must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.

Eligibility Requirements
  • A U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card
  • 17 to 34 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Meet tattoo guidelines
  • No major law violations
  • No medical concerns
