Transformation Lead, Capital Controllers Group

About the Role:
The Senior Vice President, Capital Controllers Transformation Lead will be responsible for leading the transformation of the Capital Controllers Group, focusing on the strategic remediation of core issues plaguing the Derivatives Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) and Supplementary Leverage Exposure (SLE) process. This role will involve root cause analysis, devising solutions, defining remedial actions, managing technology system changes, and working with independent testing/control groups to ratify the changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the transformation of the Capital Controllers Group, focusing on the strategic remediation of core issues plaguing the Derivatives RWA/SLE process.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of the issues and develop solutions to address them.
- Define remedial actions to address the issues and manage the implementation of these actions.
- Work with technology teams to manage the changes to the technology systems and ensure that they are properly tested and implemented.
- Collaborate with independent testing/control groups to ratify the changes and ensure that they meet the required standards.
- Develop and implement a plan to address the issues and ensure that the Capital Controllers Group is operating effectively.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure that they are working effectively to address the issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, risk managers, and technology teams.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure that the Capital Controllers Group is compliant and effective.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a financial services industry, with a focus on risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team and develop and implement plans to address complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
- Knowledge of risk management and regulatory compliance, including SA-CCR calculations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Masters degree preferred.
