Job Summary

As a Clinical Pharmacist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and advancing the field of pharmacy. This position requires a strong foundation in clinical pharmacy practice, with a focus on providing safe, effective, and efficient pharmaceutical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective pharmaceutical care plans for patients, taking into account their medical history, medications, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring safe and appropriate use of medications.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize pharmacy services.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and other staff members to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Current license as a Pharmacist in the state of Utah.
  • Controlled substance license.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Three years of experience in an institutional pharmacy environment.
Work Environment

This position will be based at American Fork Hospital, where you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
