Job Summary:

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Soar Autism Center, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify communication disorders in children with ASD
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve communication skills in children aged 2-6
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Engage families in the treatment process by providing education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development
  • Regularly evaluate and document progress, refining interventions as needed to maximize effectiveness
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
  • A license to practice speech pathology in the state of your chosen center (Arizona or Colorado)
  • Preference for SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new SLPs starting their career
  • Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or interest in learning from our clinical teams
  • A playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children
