Job Summary
We are seeking an Expert Program Manager to join our team at PG&E Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the successful outcome of the ESA Multi-Family Whole Building Program. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the state regulatory processes, utility programs, and low-income customers, alongside the ability to effectively lead and manage cross-functional projects.
About the Role
The Expert Program Manager will work closely with the CA Public Utilities Commission, Investor Owned Utility (IOUs) Partners, key stakeholders including the Low-income Oversight Board (LIOB), and various working groups and interested parties. The person in this position should have experience running or managing energy programs or similar experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing energy savings programs, working with cross-functional teams, and demonstrating effective communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Presents complex analyses internally and externally
- Addresses complex strategic issues and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative program design and implementation opportunities
- Develops and writes regulatory filings, including program applications, testimony, reports, and proposals
- Defines project strategy by providing the program background and regulatory perspective for a wide range of initiatives
- Manages complex cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Conducts analysis and presents key findings to leadership at PG&E and makes recommendations to improve program outcomes
- Advocates for PG&E's positions with external stakeholders and in CPUC proceedings
- Learns and develops industry knowledge to incorporate it into best practices and decision-making
- Applies strong analytical skills to develop insights and recommendations to shape program strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, accounting, or related discipline
- Eight (8) years of job-related work experience
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in energy, business, finance, accounting, or related discipline (desired)
About the Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $122,000 - $194,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. PG&E Corporation offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and employee stock purchase program.
