Job Title: Public Health Nurse Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Nurse Supervisor to join our team at DeKalb Public Health. As a key member of our Clinical Services division, you will play a critical role in supervising and guiding the work assignments of subordinate staff, providing professional nursing care, and promoting the health and well-being of our community.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and guide the work assignments of subordinate staff
  • Provide professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Focus on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, and the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations
  • Care for populations with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols
  • Generate reports and attend meetings regularly
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
  • CPR certification
  • OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university, One year of nursing experience, completion of a PHN course within one year of hire, current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license, and CPR certification
