Job Title: Licensed Esthetician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Esthetician to join our Spa team at Hana-Maui Resort. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional guest services and deliver thorough and professional skin care therapy.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Esthetician will be responsible for providing product, gift, and treatment recommendations to guests, performing inventories, and assisting in setting up displays. You will also be responsible for washing and folding towels, cleaning facilities and equipment, and maintaining refreshments.

Essential Duties:
  • Provide product, gift, and treatment recommendations to guests to promote health and wellness.
  • Perform inventories as needed.
  • Assist in setting up displays.
  • Wash and fold towels, clean facilities and equipment, and maintain refreshments.
Other Duties:
  • Maintain high sanitary standards, including performing safety inspections of spa facilities and addressing any deficiencies.
  • Assure that required equipment and supplies are ready and in good working order.
  • Interact with other departments or contractors to assure seamless delivery of the program for the benefit of our guests.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on specific programs.
  • Adhere to the leave no trace principles when performing tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Professional education relevant to work as an esthetician and sufficient for the State of Hawaii licensing requirements.
  • At least two years of post-license experience.
  • Possession of a valid Hawaii license as an esthetician, as needed.
  • Able to deal effectively and interact well with guests and co-workers.
  • Available for work which may include weekends and evening scheduling.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to perform simple arithmetic involved in selling products and making change.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and application of wellness concepts.
  • Knowledge in the safe and appropriate use of tools, equipment, props, and procedures related to the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability and skill in using basic computer systems and software.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift 25 pounds.
  • Able to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Able to maneuver and control equipment.
  • Able to work with and around chemicals present in swimming pools and spas.
  • Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
