Position Overview:

At Hana-Maui Resort, we prioritize exceptional guest experiences delivered by our dedicated and professional team members. Our Licensed Massage Therapist/Esthetician plays a vital role in our Spa team, providing outstanding guest services and comprehensive therapeutic spa treatments.

This dual role is essential for executing our exclusive signature services while adhering to our core service standards.


Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $14.00, in addition to commission opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver professional massage therapy and skincare treatments that promote the well-being of our guests.
  • Offer product, gift, and treatment recommendations that enhance health and wellness.
  • Facilitate the sale and purchase of spa products.
  • Conduct inventory checks as necessary.
  • Assist in the setup of displays and maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
  • Uphold high sanitary standards by performing safety inspections of spa facilities and addressing any deficiencies.
  • Ensure all required equipment and supplies are in optimal condition.
  • Possess knowledge of hotel services and local attractions to accurately respond to guest inquiries.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming spa environment that reflects our core values and provides memorable guest experiences.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on specific spa programs.
  • Adhere to the principles of environmental sustainability in all tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Hawaii license as a massage therapist.
  • Ability to effectively interact with guests and colleagues.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and evenings.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for product sales and transactions.
  • Knowledge of wellness concepts and human physiology.
  • Familiarity with the safe use of tools and equipment related to spa services.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and software.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to maneuver and control equipment.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals present in spa environments.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with spa treatments, including pushing, pulling, kneading, and stretching.
