We are seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in NERC, FERC, IEEE, and other industry standards to lead our efforts in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our power delivery systems.

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Compliance and Standards Enforcement
  • Design, Configuration, and Maintenance of Protective Relay Systems
  • Analyses of System Disturbances and Relay Operations
  • Development of Relay Settings, Schemes, and Coordination Studies
  • Reliability Assessments and Enhancements
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Collaboration and Training
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in power systems engineering with focus on protective relays and compliance
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, PSS/E) and relay configuration tools
  • Strong knowledge of NERC CIP and PRC standards, IEEE standards, and relay protection schemes
  • Familiarity with SCADA, RTUs, and communication protocols commonly used in protection systems
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, NERC certification a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
