Job Summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced International Trade Compliance Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of classification transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful projects, with expertise in export and import classification. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, managing risks, and building contingencies and mitigation plans. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team in a challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive classification transformation strategy, in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Global Jurisdiction & Classification.
  • Execute strategy across a set of aligned classification transformation projects, leveraging internal and external resources.
  • Manage projects using a defined approach of Process Standardization, Documentation, Automation, Trusted Data, Change Management and Communication to drive towards Trust@ Scale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Procurement, Digital, Sales, Compliance, Learning Teams, etc., to achieve project objectives.
  • Work closely with Export Control Center of Excellence members, and other departments as needed, to understand requirements.
  • Identify resources needed for projects, manage risks, build contingencies and mitigation plans.
  • Report project status to key stakeholders on regular basis.
  • Propose solutions for challenge areas of projects, discuss with key stakeholders and produce course correction actions.
  • Coordinate across regions and departments to ensure actions are completed according to timelines.

Requirements
  • Minimum bachelor's degree.
  • Proven history of developing and implementing successful projects.
  • Expert knowledge of export and import classification.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in project management, or similar management role.
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation of KPI's.
  • 25% travel domestically and internationally when required.
  • Proficient in the all applications in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Planner (or alternate project planning tool), Teams).
