About the Role

The Assistant Operations Manager is a key member of the Hermès Ala Moana Boutique team, responsible for overseeing and supporting operational functions. This includes cash management, client development, and training of Sales Specialists to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, including opening and closing procedures, safe remittance procedures, and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accuracy of all transactions at the register, including receipts, client information, product SKUs, monetary payment, and client verification.
  • Implement daily audits of transactions in partnership with Asset Protection.
  • Communicate and train Sales Specialists on cash management policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Finance corporate teams on POS issues, such as charge disputes and IRS forms follow-up.
  • Manage training log and schedule according to business needs.
  • Support additional operational functions or projects as dictated by business.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of retail management experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience in a luxury environment preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong POS and phone systems knowledge.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
  • Acute interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Customer service-oriented.
