At Thrive Pet Healthcare, we're seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our oncology team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with clients and referring veterinarians.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to provide specialized care for our patients, including facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests.
  • Support services including admitting and discharging patients, and providing a supportive health service relationship with our oncology clientele.
  • Develop a strong oncology service for our clients and referring veterinarians, with a willingness to learn about oncology and stay up-to-date on the latest treatments and therapies.
  • Be highly organized, with initiative to start and finish requests from clients, referring veterinarians, team members, and your oncologist.
  • Be skilled at patient restraint, placing IV catheters, anesthesia monitoring, jugular blood draws, taking diagnostic radiographs, and general technician duties.

Requirements:
  • Veterinary technician licensure (CVT, LVT, RVT) and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred.
  • 2+ years of direct patient care experience in a veterinary setting.
  • Advanced venipuncture skills and knowledge of anesthesia protocols and monitoring.
