Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for career growth and advancement.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Estimating and Bidding: Review project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates for new jobs. Ensure all proposals and bids align with company standards and profitability goals.
- Procurement and Material Management: Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure the best pricing, delivery times, and product quality.
- Staff Management and Development: Lead and manage the construction team, including field crews, foremen, and other personnel. Provide direction, coaching, and training to staff, ensuring a high level of performance and safety compliance.
- On-Site Supervision and Project Management: Oversee and supervise day-to-day field operations on multiple construction sites. Ensure work is completed according to specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs remain within scope and that projects are completed on time.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a construction management role, with a focus on underground utilities projects.
- Certifications: OSHA Certification, PMP or relevant project management certifications (a plus).
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). In-depth knowledge of underground utility construction methods and materials. Proficient in project management software, estimating tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
