About the Role

The Center for Children with Special Needs is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to support our clinics in Glastonbury and Farmington, CT. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our multidisciplinary team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with Autism and complex neurodevelopmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to track client progress and revise treatment plans as needed
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards, including maintaining accurate records and adhering to confidentiality
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or a related field
  • ASHA Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification (C-SLPA) preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in a related field, with a strong background in AAC and evidence-based treatment
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills, with a passion for working with individuals with Autism and complex neurodevelopmental disorders
