Quality Assurance Specialist

This role involves assessing and ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, utilizing various auditing techniques to identify areas for improvement. The auditor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and enhance overall product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities- Manage quality systems certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
- Act as the designated representative for all ISO certification matters.
- Secure and maintain hazardous product approvals across various global regions.
- Ensure compliance with regulations governing high-concern substances like ROHS, REACH, and others.
- Stay informed of regulatory updates and lead proactive responses to mitigate risks and ensure continued compliance.
- Manage and maintain Controlled Document Lists (CDLs), overseeing document revisions as necessary.
- Develop templates and procedures for product certifications, ensuring alignment with company workflows.
- Improve efficiency in product certification and audit processes.
- Create, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality metrics.
- Lead and coordinate internal, external, and customer audits.
- Control Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ensure timely implementation of changes.
- Prepare, update, and maintain all necessary documentation for the quality system.
- Hire, train, and supervise a small team.
- Oversight of the company's training record management platform.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in quality auditing, process auditing, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications such as VDA 6.3, ISO9001, or other relevant auditing certifications are a plus.
- Strong understanding of process control, quality management systems, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency with tools like Six Sigma, 8D, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for report writing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify process inefficiencies and non-compliance.
