Resident Services Objective: Our goal is to engage residents in a transformational manner, fostering healthy, vibrant, and equitable communities. We aim to empower residents to create fulfilling lives through our programming, which focuses on Education, Economic Mobility, Health & Wellness, and Community Engagement.

Key Responsibilities: As a Program Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting enrichment initiatives, particularly the Afterschool and Teen Programs. Working closely with the Resident Services Manager, you will help implement educational and recreational activities tailored for children, youth, and families within a multifamily setting. This role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week during designated hours.

Program Planning and Implementation:

  1. Assist in the design and facilitation of educational and recreational programs for children, youth, and families.
  2. Supervise after-school activities for elementary and teenage participants.

Program Preparation:

  1. Provide nutritious snacks for participants in the Afterschool Program.
  2. Organize and prepare materials for youth activities and workshops.
  3. Support the Teen Program and assist participants with academic tasks.

Behavior Management:

  1. Maintain a positive and disciplined environment.
  2. Implement and adapt behavior management strategies as needed.

Community Space Maintenance:

  1. Ensure the community space is properly set up prior to and cleaned after programming.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate effectively on tasks beyond standard duties.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience and enthusiasm for working with children and teenagers.
  3. Background in literacy or tutoring preferred.
  4. Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
  5. Ability to engage with a diverse population of students from various backgrounds.
  6. Self-driven and aligned with our mission.
  7. Collaborative approach to working with colleagues and community members.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working at AHC Inc:

This is a part-time role focused on afterschool programming, requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week during specified hours.
