We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician Sr to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and expertise in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems.
- Develop and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure a skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
- Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, including troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning systems.
- Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
- Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests, and evaluate performance and reliability.
- Document all work performed on aircraft, including daily logs and other paperwork.
- Enforce company safety regulations, including the FOD program, tool control program, and 5-S program.
- High School Diploma or GED required; six years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four years of related experience.
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
- Other FCC License preferred.
- Other NCATT preferred.
- Proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
- APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
