Job Title: Biller

At Aveanna Healthcare LLC, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biller to join our team. As a Biller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain current unbilled accounts at an acceptable level.
  • Ensure unbilled Days in Accounts Receivable (DSO) are within acceptable limits.
  • Meet cash goals on a quarterly basis.
  • Communicate effectively with branch location personnel and management regarding billing issues.
  • Process adjustments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Request Bridge Tickets to correct and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Collaborate with Collectors to refile and/or bill secondary insurance in a timely manner.
  • Understand and comply with payer-specific requirements for submitting claims.
  • Enforce SOX 404 controls.
  • Review and respond to correspondence from payers and branches.
  • Submit guarantor statements as required.
  • Address rejections in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete document request forms and forward to locations as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum six (6) months prior healthcare insurance experience.
  • Computer literacy and ability to type, file, and maintain audit records.

This role will be performed in an office environment during agency operating hours. Remote and hybrid work is limited to the United States only, and in states where Aveanna conducts business.
