As a Forensic Nurse Examiner at Providence, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive medical-forensic examinations to adult and adolescent patients who have experienced interpersonal violence. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and analyzing patient information, and providing quality nursing care that is tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical-forensic examinations of patients who have experienced interpersonal violence
- Assess and analyze patient information to determine the best course of care
- Provide quality nursing care that is tailored to the individual needs of each patient
- Collaborate with law enforcement and advocacy agencies to provide quality services to patients
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with team members to ensure a patient-centered response
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- 1 year Nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current certification of completion of 40-hour Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) upon hire
- 16-hour SANE Clinical Skills Lab (CSL training) upon hire
