Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of patients' health conditions by taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting health information.
- Administer medications, including IVs, injections, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding care plans, medications, and health maintenance.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of the patient environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continued education opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns effectively and compassionately.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active LPN license in the state where the position is located.
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within a specified time frame).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.
