CETC is in search of a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct assessments and provide treatment for clients experiencing speech and hearing challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a curriculum aimed at enhancing communication abilities.
  • Evaluate communication (speech and language) skills through screenings and assessments.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations in areas of need.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions in alignment with individual care plans and assessment outcomes.
  • Contribute to the formulation of personalized care plans using a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Oversee the re-evaluation of patients as per state regulations.
  • Engage in meetings regarding individual patient care as needed.
  • Consult with parents, administration, and other staff members.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and multidisciplinary teams focused on children's speech-language health.
  • Encourage patient development and progress towards therapy goals.
  • Identify patients at risk for future communication difficulties.
  • Maintain daily documentation of services and outcomes.
  • Manage caseloads, services, and scheduling effectively.
  • Provide individualized therapy based on client requirements.
  • Work in partnership with professionals, families, and educators.
  • Receive training in delivering services via teletherapy on various platforms.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of speech, language, fluency, voice, swallowing, and pragmatic language disorders.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to comply with federal and state licensure and certification requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and creativity in approach.
  • Proficient diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities.
  • Acknowledge the importance of responding to culturally diverse communities.
  • Stay informed about best practices and therapy modalities in the field.
  • Experience in evaluation, scoring, and interpreting assessments and screening tools.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Eligibility for State of Maryland clinical fellow licensure through ASHA.
  • Experience in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Employees in this role are not expected to encounter blood-borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements: Heavy work involving exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
