We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deaf Education Instructor to join our team at Mt. Hood Community College. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching American Sign Language (ASL) courses and providing quality instruction to students.

About the Role

This is a part-time faculty position with variable hours and no guaranteed minimum teaching load. You will teach classes within various programs, including credit-based, Community Education, and ABE, GED, and ESL programs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach ASL courses to students of varying skill levels
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with program objectives
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language or equivalent degree
  • Native fluency in American Sign Language
  • Previous teaching experience
