The Retail Banking Associate position will deliver exceptional customer experiences by fostering long-lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. Accountability and Risk Management:

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly sharing ideas and opinions, addressing concerns, and adhering to established policies and procedures. This role ensures that actions and behaviors promote a positive customer experience while operating within the Bank's risk appetite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships through proactive outreach efforts.
  • Use a consultative approach to understand customers' needs and provide tailored recommendations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and problems are resolved.
  • Analyze customer credit data and other financial information to ensure customers are in suitable solutions.
  • Process transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
  • Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a comfort level with new customer relationships and acquisitions.
  • Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
  • Exhibits business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability in making sound decisions.
  • This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Extending viewing of computer screens.
