Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at The Michaels Organization. As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and common areas of our properties, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of interior and exterior common areas, including pool areas, fitness areas, trash rooms, hallways, walkways, lobby areas, and parking areas.
- Remove litter and debris from grounds and assist with exterior grounds maintenance as needed.
- Perform routine janitorial duties, including sweeping, raking, weeding, shoveling, vacuuming, and window washing.
- Use a blower to maintain grounds and common areas.
- Assist with make-ready cleaning duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
- Report identified unsafe conditions in and around property to Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
- Help clean and maintain storage areas.
- Maintain positive resident and customer relations/service attitude.
- Report daily activity and any unsafe conditions to supervisor/management.
- Identify and correct problems related to duties as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent and/or Property Manager.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet federal and state driving standards.
- Ability to exercise judgment and operate under time pressure.
- Ability and willingness to follow safety procedures using Personal Protective Equipment whenever hazards or processes of the environment, chemical hazards, radiological hazards, or mechanical irritants could cause injury or impairment through absorption, inhalation, or physical contact.
- Strong customer service skills.
