Key Responsibilities

As a Culinary Service Specialist, you will be involved in various aspects of the Food Service Department, including:

  • Serving meals to cafeteria patrons while maintaining knowledge of menu items and ingredients to assist customers.
  • Setting up and managing designated positions in the cafeteria or tray line.
  • Preparing and labeling food items for service.
  • Ensuring food is maintained at safe temperatures and keeping accurate records.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and adhering to food safety protocols.
  • Performing cleaning duties, including dishwashing and waste disposal.
  • Following hygiene and food handling standards to prevent infection.
  • Operating the cash register and managing transactions efficiently.

Qualifications Required:

  • A Food Handlers Permit or Food Safety Certification must be obtained within the first week of employment.

This position requires full vaccination against COVID-19, in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
