Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our team at ACE Machine and Metal Fabrication Co., Inc. This role is crucial for ensuring the precision and quality of our laser cutting operations.
Compensation: $18 to $25 per hour based on experience, with health insurance reimbursement and paid time off available after 90 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret work orders, drawings, and production schedules to ascertain specifications, including materials, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Review nesting for sheet utilization and accuracy before machine operation.
- Load lasers with the appropriate materials and set them up according to work order priorities.
- Conduct CNC programming operations and verify that orders are produced accurately and efficiently.
- Unload finished parts and conduct quality checks to ensure they meet standards.
- Coordinate the distribution of completed work orders to relevant departments.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and report weekly.
- Identify maintenance needs for machines and communicate with supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and using protective equipment as necessary.
- Proactively identify and rectify any safety hazards in the work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, fostering a positive work environment that encourages cooperation and morale.
- Ensure that all parts are free from burrs, scratches, and defects before moving to the next operation.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Forklift experience is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of CNC laser cutting experience is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM
