LPN Medical Care Unit Professional

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled LPN to provide administrative support and care to our patients in a sensitive and compassionate manner.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide approved patient education materials upon direction of a provider or RN
* Perform phlebotomy and obtain lab specimens as ordered
* Perform testing to meet regulatory requirements as ordered
* Perform point of care testing as ordered
* Assist in emergency situations under the direction of a provider
* Maintain a clean, well-stocked patient care area
* Administrative:
* Screen, refer, route and place phone calls
* Document patient care observations and activities according to professional standards and procedures
* Request previous medical records
* Prepare and organize department
* Inspect exam rooms for cleanliness and equipment for condition
* Stock supplies as needed
* Attend required in-service training
* Maintain continuing education units as appropriate
**Requirements:**
* Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
* Demonstrates skills and abilities in clinical and administrative areas including phlebotomy, office lab testing, patient care, injections, vitals and EKG
* Ability to work with limited supervision and to make decisions based on established policies and procedures
* Basic computer skills required, previous experience with EMR preferred
