We are seeking a Senior Analyst of Sanctions Operations to join our team. This position requires substantial experience in Sanctions Compliance, particularly in client or transaction screening associated with sanctions. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Sanctions Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with U.S. and international sanctions regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee various queues for account and real-time transaction screening alerts; apply sound judgment and sanctions expertise to evaluate internal data against reference data and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Conduct thorough open-source investigations and engage with clients for alerts that necessitate further information.
  • Provide management with insights by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant data and trends.
  • Ensure meticulous tracking of assignments to meet established deadlines.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing processes for increased efficiency.
  • Conduct additional sanctions due diligence and research for complex cases.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in sanctions or anti-money laundering operations within a financial services environment, regulatory body, Broker Dealer (BD), Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), or a comparable organization. A strong understanding of OFAC sanctions regulations and expertise in sanctions-related risks and typologies is highly desirable.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient with technology and adept at applying it to business and regulatory challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small team, managing multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Sanctions Compliance.
  • Possession of CGSS, CSS, ACAMS, CFCS, Series 7, or other relevant FINRA licenses or certifications is advantageous.
