Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a key member of our Government Services Division, you will be responsible for leading civil design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce design drawings, civil analysis and calculations, procurement specifications and construction specifications (civil sections)
  • Attend project meetings and perform field walkdowns
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Lead civil design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design teams
Requirements
  • BSCE from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
  • PE License, or ability to obtain one (preference for having a PE license)
  • Specific experience in drainage, grading/site preparation, stormwater prevention planning and retention, geotechnical characterization, and foundation design
  • Five or more years of working in a project team environment in the design of industrial design projects or power plant experience
  • Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
  • Experience working with and/or at Department of Energy sites and facilities
  • Experience in preparing design drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and construction, fabrication and procurement specifications
