Inventory Management Supervisor

The Inventory Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all investigations/cycle counts and resolving inventory discrepancies in daily and/or yearly operations. This role involves assigning tasks to the Cycle Count and Ghost/Damage Team, allowing for the correction of discrepancies after a diligent investigation and reporting the motives and causes of mistakes for corrective actions with various company departments.
The Inventory Management Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy of inventory and prioritizing and resolving any issues in the warehouse. This includes ensuring that teams follow the correct break schedule and adhere to all protocols and regulations regarding safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Cycle Count/Ghost & Damages team.
- Utilize software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity.
- Schedule, organize, and participate in cycle counts.
- Produce data and necessary training for team members to perform tasks with maximum efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed, performing root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommending process improvements to eliminate them.
- Work closely with the picking team, Receiving team, and replenishment team, and create accountability in all IM and Production departments.
- Adjust out damaged products/ship out damaged products per client request.
- Complete additional tasks and duties assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong warehouse background.
- Able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve.
- High level of energy and drive to work with warehouse employees.
- Excellent people and communication skills to work with differing personalities.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly warehouse appearance.
- Ability to work extended hours/over-time as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure proper and full-time use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ensure the work area is left clean and tidy at the end of each shift.
- Assist in maintaining the sanitation, security, and safety of the warehouse.
- High school diploma required; one year of related experience in shipping and receiving.
- Organized thought process with high attention to detail, ability to produce accurate results, effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
- Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
- Professional attitude and the ability to represent the company with integrity.
- Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
- Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including Microsoft Office, and communicating effectively via email and phone frequently required.
