The role of a Chemical Production Operator involves executing filling tasks and managing material movements within the industrial chemical manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate process equipment to transfer materials into various containers for distribution.
  • Utilize a yard spotter for the movement of tank wagons and trailers as necessary.
  • Operate forklifts to transport materials and supplies throughout the facility.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Accurately document activities related to inventory and supply management.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a one-year certificate program from a college or technical institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in handling hazardous and flammable substances.
  • Familiarity with life safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, line breaking, and hot work procedures.
  • Prior industrial manufacturing experience, particularly in chemical production processes, is preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification and experience in managing hazardous materials are advantageous.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, in a continuous operation environment.
  • Proficiency in computer systems for reporting and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
