Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler 3 to join our team at Dexcom. As a Material Handler 3, you will be responsible for completing a variety of warehouse functions, including receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control. You will work under general supervision to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all warehousing activities, including receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control, in compliance with safety, cGMP, and quality standard operating procedures.
  • Utilize pallet jacks, stand-up reach trucks, sit-down reach trucks, turret trucks, electric rider jacks, and box trucks to unload/load material and transport it between areas.
  • Perform transactions in the ERP/WMS system, including shipping, entering cycle counts, and material receipts.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping or receiving issues utilizing the ERP/WMS system.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight.
  • Support international shipping activity.
  • Cross-train in multiple functions in the warehouse, including receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Assist in implementing process improvement ideas.
  • Lead daily team meetings to review team performance and daily workload.
  • Provide hands-on training to new employees/temporary employees on warehouse functions.
  • Help assign activities to the team based on priorities set by leadership.
  • Create and run basic reports around performance metrics.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in a material handling role.
  • 1 year utilizing Oracle/WMS or 2 years of experience completing transactions in other ERP/WMS systems.
  • 1+ year experience operating electric-powered material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer data entry skills.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

Employees in this position may be required to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time; frequent use of the hands, fingers, wrist, and greater arm to handle small materials, tools, boxes, and trays; lifting and carrying objects up to 50Ibs; occasional overhead reaches and lifts; occasional lifts and reaches below the knee; occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects with moderate forces; occasional crouching/kneeling, twisting, and squatting movements.
