Job Overview

Position Title: Order Fulfillment Specialist

Role Summary:

The Order Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the receipt and dispatch of orders for goods and materials, ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate processing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • • Confirm customer and order details for accuracy, cross-referencing with prior information as needed.
  • • Process customer orders efficiently and effectively.
  • • Assess orders for completeness based on established procedures and escalate incomplete orders for resolution.
  • • Suggest products or services that align with customer requirements.
  • • Review outgoing shipments to ensure they meet customer specifications.
  • • Utilize inventory management systems to check the availability of requested items.
  • • Alert relevant departments when stock levels are low or when orders may exhaust available inventory.
  • • Maintain records of received orders or update order logs as necessary.
  • • Uphold proficiency in all safety policies and practices within the organization.
  • • Ensure a safe and tidy working environment.
  • • Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.
  • • Comply with company policies and operational requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate both written and verbal instructions.
  • • Capability to operate various hand and power tools as necessary.
  • • Proficiency in using different types of material handling equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as required.

Education and Experience:

  • • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • • A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • • This role involves frequent standing, walking, and sitting, whether indoors or outdoors.
  • • Must possess adequate physical condition to meet job demands, including mental acuity, physical dexterity, grip strength, depth perception, and other necessary physical attributes to perform safely in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds consistently.
  • • Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • • Personal protective equipment must be worn when handling materials or operating machinery.

Additional Requirements:

  • • Must successfully pass pre-employment and any required drug screenings.
  • • Must be able to pass a Physical Capacity Assessment as required.
