Role Summary
As a Residential Cleaning Specialist, you will report to the Director of Care or their designate. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in various areas, including resident rooms, common spaces, and staff areas. Your role is essential in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance of resident rooms and communal areas on a scheduled basis.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning solutions and supplies, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Ensure that all areas are organized and safe, reporting any maintenance issues to the Director of Care.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, contributing to quality assurance efforts.
- Stay informed about and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a minimum of Grade 10 education or equivalent. Previous experience in a healthcare or similar setting is preferred, and knowledge of safe cleaning practices is essential.
Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will be physically and mentally capable of performing assigned duties with minimal supervision. You will demonstrate respect for the dignity and individuality of residents, effectively communicate in English, and maintain positive relationships with residents and staff alike.
